SWAT is a river basin scale model developed to quantify the impact of land management practices in large, complex watersheds. SWAT is a public domain model actively supported by the USDA Agricultural Research Service at the Grassland, Soil and Water Research Laboratory in Temple, Texas, USA. The EPA Research Laboratory in Las Vegas, NV, recently sponsored a training workshop on SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) in conjunction with the Southeastern Arizona Agricultural Research Center of the USDA. The Consortium participated in the training session to obtain beta software for teaching and research applications in northeastern PA. SWAT is also available now as a module in EPA's BASINS 3.
